TimeBuddyPro's free Pomodoro timer helps you work in focused bursts with restorative breaks. Pick a cycle — the classic 25 minutes of focus with a 5-minute break, or longer 50/10 and shorter 15/3 rhythms — and the timer switches between focus and break phases automatically while counting your completed sessions.
The Pomodoro technique is a time-management method that alternates focused work with short breaks. You work with full attention for one timed “Pomodoro,” then rest briefly before the next. The rhythm makes long study or writing sessions feel manageable and helps prevent burnout.
Choose a preset: 25 / 5 for classic Pomodoros, 50 / 10 for deeper work, or 15 / 3 for quick tasks. Press Start focus to begin. When a phase ends, an alert sounds and the next phase starts automatically. Use Skip to jump phases and Reset to start over.
Every completed focus session is counted below the timer, so you can see how many Pomodoros you've finished today. Many people aim for 4–8 sessions, taking a longer 15–30 minute break after every four — a rhythm this timer's automatic cycling supports naturally.
Pick one clear task before you start, silence notifications, and keep a notepad nearby for distracting thoughts so you can return to them later. During breaks, stand up, stretch, or look away from the screen instead of scrolling — real rest makes the next session sharper.
A Pomodoro is one focused work interval — traditionally 25 minutes — followed by a short 5-minute break. Four Pomodoros are usually followed by a longer break.
